FASB Issues Proposal to Simplify Accounting for Cloud Computing Fees Paid by Customers

The Update, Intangibles--Goodwill and Other--Internal-Use Software : Customer's Accounting for Fees Paid in a Cloud Computing Arrangement, is intended to improve financial reporting of fees paid by public and private companies and not-for-profit organizations who are customers in a cloud computing arrangement.
